What is YOUR Super Power?
Lego (TM) is a quick, familiar and fun medium for most kids. In this program we work in small peer groups and ask some interesting questions like "What is your super power?" and "Why is this classroom better with me in it?". Kids then use the building blocks to help tell a story about their answer and peers are encouraged to ask questions for deeper understanding.
The focus is on sharing feelings and concerns as well as listening to peers.
The questions can be tailored with a teacher to explore concepts or recent events that will have an immediate understanding impact for the students. We have fun and balance the serious topics with the silly ones.
In the end, kids know more about their peers and can form deeper and more trusting relationships.
