We offer a "Makers in the Classroom" program throughout the school year, with a focus on curriculum integrations and working with teachers to meet specific learning objectives. As a stay-in-school "field trip" teachers can eliminate the need to coordinate bus logistics or get special permission forms signed. We do however still require parent volunteers as "chaperones" to help keep prices low and engagement high during these programs. The adults have just as much fun as the kids.
School-Wide STEAM Festivals
In addition to in-class programs offered during the school day we can also support evening and weekend events that are often used for fundraising, parent engagement or seasonal celebrations. Pricing for these events is quoted based on the time of the year, the size of the event and the length of time we are required to interact with your guests. Please contact us for a detailed proposal.
* A "class" is assumed to be a maximum of 20-25 students (depending on the age of the group). If you have more, we can negotiate a nominal additional fee per student. Travel fees may also be required based on your school location.
Maker Space Consulting
Tinker Truck is often asked to help educators and administrators plan, design and execute the creation of a permanent maker space within a school. The first consultation is free because we're excited that you want to help make more makers in the world!
